I make game trailers
SO... WHO THE HELL IS YOSH?
Hey! What's up? I'm Yosh and I make game trailers... or at least that's the short version...
The longer version is that I'm slightly obsessed with figuring out what makes a game unique, what emotions it creates, and how to translate those into a video.
Over the last 17+ years I've worked with tiny indie teams, big publishers, and everything in between. Sometimes that means editing game trailers, sometimes motion graphics, sometimes creative direction, and sometimes just getting way too excited about an idea and convincing everyone to try it.
I started my career as a character animator, somehow became a technical artist, then found my way into motion graphics before eventually falling in love with trailers.
What I love most about trailers is that they're not really about explaining a game. They're about making people feel what it's like to play it and getting them excited enough to think: “Okay... I need to play this.”
These days I spend most of my time helping indie developers turn those feelings into trailers people actually remember.
If you're trying to make people feel something, we'll probably get along just fine.
